Near the second half of the series, Syaoran confesses his feelings to Sakura, but she does not respond in kind. After Yukito rejects Sakura's feelings, Syaoran comforts her and Sakura slowly returns his feelings. He eventually falls in love with her, though she is initially slow to realize it due to her own feelings for Yukito.
